Don't tell me you have never thought about "how to use" loads of coloured block supplied with Commands and Colors: ANCIENTS game system.


Let's start up some ideas... what about playing CHESS?

Here is how the board could be set up.
Obviously is only an idea so suggestions are welcome.


I think that movements and rule system should follow original "chess game" but we could also add up some special feature or abilities to each unit type.

Here is the association I did
LI = pawn
EL = tower
MC = knight
MI = bishop
HC = queen
LDR = king

how about: pawn medium infantry for roman, for greek heavy, always the most typical form of infantry

elephant can be war machine

for greeks alexander is the king, queen is another greek leader

bishop is bowman or light infantry

i know its anoying that pawns are better than bishops, but aren't bishops sneaky diagonal ways are like archers shooting ?

Using elephants as towers seems a little strange seeing how towers have such a longe range. I'd consider chariots.

Bishops could be cavalry due to their fast movement and the way they are used to outflank.

Knights could be warriors or maybe auxilia infantry.


Also, you have your board set up the wrong way, Kings and Queens are opposite each other. Also, it would help to distinguish during a game of chess whose side a piece is on so sticking with one color of blocks per side is helpful too.
