clarification on "clash of shields" and Momentum Advance on Forest 1 Year, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
I can say after playing my first games that I'm in love with it..
(..though I would like to play longer battles.. it seems like you can't move all you units before the battle is resolved)

Anyway, a got a couple of razonable questions for you:

-May a unit, adjacent to another and so activated, fight against another new adjacent unit after its retreat or evade? (I guess you can because was already activated but..)

-May a light unit make a advance movement after a close combat in a forest? (they can fight but they should stop when enter like the others so..)
By the way..Range combat in forest, how does it correctly work? does the unit inside the forest combat with 1 dice or can it be shooted with 1 dice..?

I'd appreciate to get an answer to these questions..

Thanks guys..

1) Unit receive order and is activated (as you said) but at the same time "battles are checked and resolved one ordered unit at a time, in the sequence of your choice".
So considering ordered unit A2 adjacent to unit B2, if after A1 vs B1 battle B1 is forced to retreat ending movement adjacent to A2, now A2 can decide to battle vs B2 OR vs B1.
Answer to your questoin is YES!

2) I believe answer is no, because "A unit must stop when it enters a forest hex and move no further on that turn." (terrain rules quote)

3) Forest Range Combat - When your unit targets an enemy unit on a forest hex with range combat will roll a maximum of 1 die.
Range Combat limitation is only applied to units battling INTO forest. No limitations battling OUTSIDE it (in Range Combat).
