The rules state clearly that a unit may not make a momentum advance after the enemy evades. This can be a big difference sometimes with what happens after a fight.

My question is : how do you understand such a rule ? Why should it be impossible ? After all, the enemy has withdrawn - and it probably took less time than a fight.

Yes, that's a good question : I noticed in C&C Napo, infantry "may" take ground after cavalry retire and reform (in fact evade), but that's another story...

Hi guys,
in my opinion "evade" is one of the stringest point for Light units.
Their ability to bother enemy troops with arrows and next to evade after engagement is unvaluable.
I think that letting enemies to take Momentum Advance will frustrate Lights too much.
These are my two cents...

So it would be a question of balance...

Probably the attacking side is aware that the light units are only here to harass, and chasing after them both costs energy and breaks its own formation?

Recklessly advance without actually eliminating the group of enemy is probably not a wise move in reality.

This sounds good, indeed. A fight is often won by the less tired, you're right. And sometimes, I attack a light unit in this state of mind.
