Hi All,
I just purchased my first basic set of CCA, past all the stickers, read the rules a couple of times and I now started with a first game (just me playing both sides

) to figure some things out.
now my first questions:
- when playing a command card, you 'advance' troops in a certain section. Is this movement always forward, or can you 'advance' some troops by sending them back to your side of the gameboard (as a way of retreat- same question for movements sideways). Pretty basic isn't it
- rolling a flag in a combat means the enemy-unit needs to pull back and not your own attacking force, yes? just verifying...
- I read a lot about adjacent units and holding troops connected. What's the importance of this in the game? And does adjacent means a hex direct connected to ONE unit, or does it means the group of all troops connected to one another by occupied hexes?
thanks for this vivid community, a joy to see!
