Hannibal 5 Months ago Karma: 0
I think all of us agree that Hannibal was one of the greatest commander in accient times..
..Don“t you guys think that should be treated in the game as Alexander or Cesar are? ..At least, some special ability..?

.. poor Hannibal.. terror for romans and now, so forgotten..

I raised this same question earlier and produced an interesting thread...

Also Hannibal is very poorly represented in the official scenarios. There is nothing from Spain before the 2nd Punic war and even more perplexing is that there is nothing in Italy after Cannae in 216BC. 13 years of campaigning and not a single battle!?

1st, 2nd and 3rd Nola, 1st and 2nd Herdonia, Capua, Canusium, Numistro, Grumentum and Crotona.

And before Cannae we have Tagus River, Rhone River and Geronium.

The lack of official battles involving Hannibal is puzzling and frustrating.

I think the 2nd expansion would have been the place for Hannibal's campaigns in Spain and maybe some Greeks v Barbarians, same way there was a few Greece v Rome in expansion 1.

Maybe they will release Scenario books like the memoir campaign books which can be played with he blocks we already have

scenario books, I'd buy every single one. and yes, I do believe there should be a special Hannibal rule (and a nice graphic block -one eye and all) anyone tried to graphic the great man? We all have a few extra blocks.

US ARMY retired, play this game just about exclusively beyond anything else. this is the best wargame ever designed, or will ever be designed. my overwrought opinion only. but I do love this game system. looking for F to F players, will travel to smaller regional cons in Ky,Oh,In.
