The Commands & Colors: Ancients game system allows players to effectively portray epic engagements of ancient history. The scale of the game is flexible and varies from battle to battle. For some scenarios, an infantry unit may represent a legion of soldiers, while in other scenarios a unit may represent just a few brave warriors. The battles, showcased in the scenario section, focus on the historical deployment of forces and important terrain features on the scale of the game system. The Command card system drives movement, creates ‘fog of war’, and presents players with many interesting challenges and opportunities, while the battle dice resolve combat quickly and efficiently. The battlefield tactics you will need to execute to gain victory conform remarkably well to the strengths and limitations of the various ancient unit types, their weapons, the terrain, and history.

I'm happy to announce again the publishing of 5 new scenarios from Jim!

He managed to create scenarios for Lusitanian War (155-139 BC).

JD146 Calicinus (171 BC)
JD147 Thermopylae (191 BC)
JD148 Mons Veneris (146 BC) Lusitanian War
JD149 Itucca (141 BC) Lusitanian War
JD150 Erisana (140 BC) Lusitanian War

As has happened to some of the last scenarios, Jim updated them. For historical reasons I decided to leave both published versions (to avoid losing playing statistics and allow users to play both revisions).

Thank you Jim for submitting 5 new scenarios on CCAncients.net map database. Your contribution is awesome.

Don't forget to update CCA Vassal extension with all his maps HERE (v 2.2).

" A noble man compares and estimates himself by an idea which is higher than himself; and a mean man, by one lower than himself. The one produces aspiration; the other ambition, which is the way in which a vulgar man aspires. "
